Reid Wassmer...

is from Owensboro, KY where he attended the Owensboro Catholic School System. It was through his experience with the OCHS band that he was introduced to music, composition and the marching arts. In 2017 he finished his fourth and final season with the world class performing organization, Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps where he won a world championship in 2016. Reid is currently studying music education at Northern Kentucky. He is frequently out in the school systems teaching private lessons and marching bands.

Since being selected as a member of the creative team Reid has created music to accompany dance pieces choreographed by Valencia Stallings, Elizabeth VandeWater, and Emanuel Picazo. Reid uses the power of music in combination with sounds of dissonance and resolution to portray the deep sorrow that accompanies the mourning of racial categories. Most recently he has been creating the website for the project and composing music for documentary.
