Renee McCafferty

Renee McCafferty… 

Has been dancing, teaching, choreographing, and directing for over forty years. Starting her career as a member of Contemporary Dance Theatre she helped originate roles in works by Jan Van Dyke, Nina Weiner, Ze’va Cohen and dozens of other artists. As a founding member of Shawn Womack Dance Projects (SWDP) she contributed to nearly all of the company’s repertory. With SWDP Renee performed in the former Soviet Union, touring nationally and regionally. Renee has been a teaching artist with Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Art Links, Ohio Alliance for Arts Education, Dayton’s Muse Machine and more. Renee has also enjoyed teaching at the collegiate level at Northern Kentucky University for over twenty years.
